Harvest Points: day 63, 70, and 77. I prefer the later cuts, both day 70 and 77 are satisfying, 77 probably is my fave.
Dry Yield (grams): 85 grams or so
Growth Comments: Amber grew without any problems at all in the complete soil. It was the last of the three plants I had to begin flowering, but ended up looking ready first so it really budded out quickly once she started flowering.
Nice pink/red purple coloured buds were extremely fatty and dense with almost no leaves to trim, just all bud on her. Really a beautiful plant to watch grow.
Another bean of her that was stunted due to lack of watering was put outside and survived very very cold, wet and humid conditions without any trace of mould whatsoever. Very impressive hardiness and resistence!
Comments on smell (during growth, harvest, etc.): Nice sweet incense smell which became more musky over time. The outdoor example was straight purple compared to the red color indoors, and the purple had a more fruit stripe bubblegum smell, fruity and gummy during mid-flower. Both phenos finished through cure with a musky scent, the purple being slightly a more floral musk. Very nice, complex terps, many layers of scent and aroma.

The Smoke: Nice thick smoke was produced, many layers of flavor in here. Primarily musky. The red pheno gives some nice cherry or honey taste on the exhale. The purple is slightly more floral on the exhale. Lots of flavor, the musk aspect is very seductive and pleasant, I find myself choosing a bowl of Amber over and over.

The High: Very good anti-anxiety, stress relief and mood enhancement to combat depression. Also a good body stone provides pain relief and relaxation without being too heavy. No couch-lock. The purple pheno is slightly more sativa-ish in effect, a bit more creative in the mind but still with the lovely body relaxation. I find this is a good smoke when feeling depressed or burdened with negative thoughts, it brings me out of that state and gives a positive feeling and wholistic effect. Just a well-rounded high, very pleasant without being too heavy. Excellent for any time of day.

I really enjoy Amber, it’s got a nice complex set of terpenes that hit all the taste buttons. The high is soothing and stress relieving, helps lower my blood pressure and gives a good body relax while also putting the mind in a positive mood. I have been under a lot of stress and depression lately but Amber brings a lot of redeeming qualities and has been a great ally. I don’t normally smoke until evening but I imagine this would be a good morning smoke as well. I get a good amount of stress relief and body comfort from it without it being too heavy. I think it’s fine for sleep although I have other strains that I choose at the end of the night.

Final Comments: Amber is really a favourite of what I grew out last year. The medical effects are very very good for my present condition, and I tend to like highs like this that are functional. The flavors in the buds are complex, I’ve had nice sour cherry tastes and honey tastes, and the general profile is musky, a little bit of a skunky quality to it as well. The purple pheno I had outdoors was a little more floral on the finish to accompany the musk. It’s just a really pleasant, life enhancing smoke, with good body relaxation and mental refreshment.
I like the hardiness of the plant and the bud density was very good. Flowering was very fast once she started going for it, and she did not express any fussiness about the nutrients. Very Very easy plant to trim, it was all bud on her. I would definitely consider her a keeper and would like to grow this one again, or any crosses made with her. Something just makes me want to grab her and smoke her over and over, LOL, I’m trying to keep the other meds rotating so I don’t run out of this! Love it. Highly recommended.
