Strain review by HashMaster: Stone Dragon

Strain: Stone Dragon

Grower Name: HashMaster

Medium: Inert Peat

Nutrients: AN Sensi Bloom A&B

Lights type and schedule (indoor): Digital Dimmable HID 18/6

Days from Seed: Took plants at 70, 80, 90, and 105 days

Harvest Points: One of the great things about Stone’s gear is you can get entirely different medicinal effects depending on your harvest point. I took plants at 70, 80, 90, and 105 days and each has their own unique benifits. For the purpose of this review I will be discussing the 105 day old plants.

Dry Yield (grams): 57 grams average grown in soda bottles

Growth Comments: Simple trouble free grow start to finish even though I was using soda bottles for pots.

Comments on smell (during growth, harvest, etc.): All my Stone Dragon plants smelled of very rich freshly roasted and freshly ground coffee.

The Smell: Coffee

The Smoke: The smoke is very smooth and stable. It also has a very interesting flavor considering the strong coffee smell… the smoke tastes like a delicious lemon cream pie with an extremely light lemon / hashy aftertaste.

Do you personally consider this strain a keeper for long-term use?
Yes

I am a Medical cannabis user

If you are a med user, describe briefly your health conditions and how this strain affects them
Severe nerve damage, fibro, muscle damage / scar tissue, bad heart, and more….

Rate the noticeable medical and negative effects (if any) on a scale of 1-9 mild-severe.

8 Sense of well being

5 Euphoria

8 Anxiety relief

8 Paranoia relief

5 Sex drive

8 Sleep

9 – severe Pain relief

9 – severe Ability to rest or sit still

5 Thought process

6 Imagination/creativity

6 Audio perception

7 Introspective dreaminess

6 Decreased reaction time

2 Dry mouth

Final Comments: There is a good reason why this is a classic strain with a very well deserved medicinal reputation. And every time I have grown these out I have told myself I must keep them going in my rotation.

With the 105 day harvest point I got the 100% narcotic effect I was looking for from those.

1 hit and a very light headband high starts almost immediately, but with the second hit and beyond the headband high melts into a full on total body narcotic that is stronger than any of the man made chemical Crap that they pumped me full of for decades.

The closest I can describe it is like a very heavy dose of morphine but without the morphine brain fog or any of the negative morphine after effects.

For recreational users this effect is way better than couch lock… it’s more like kicking back in a Lazy Boy recliner mounted on hover boards… just float around and do as you please… or do nothing at all

Either way you will enjoy it.

    Fantasico!

Holly coffee Batman, I can't believe you figured out that smell. It is coffee. Damn, I never get just pure coffee though but I finally figured out another piece of the stonedragon puzzle

Awesome review, I laughed so hard when you gave the coffee pheno a perfect ten. Lol, I just picture an old stoner, smoking his herb sitting back going, "Mmmmn, that coffee flavor" I'm sure de-caf doesn't have the good flavor that a quality stone dragon can deliver. Lol. Just kidding…

I also saw you had a friend wreck your RV, sorry to hear that. You know you are old school when you get mad at your friend for wrecking your RV, especially right before RV season. Lol hahaha

Man, I keep laughing but give me 10 more years and I'll be like :yoda:

Oh by the way your camera skills are getting really good. I can tell you enjoy a good shot. I like the white balance on your photos it. Really shows of the subtleties of the flower that normally get overexposed or washed away with unnatural light.

I've been using an app that lets me dial in the Kelvin temps on my phone. My cmh lights are suppose to be 3100 k so when I dial it in to that spectrum it tends to look exactly what it looks like to the eye. Sometimes it doesn't work and I just dial around until it matches up with what I see. Problem is by then I've already looked at the lights in the garden and am temporarily blinded. Lol

    Thanks @Jedi frost ! shareone

Fresh roasted freshly ground coffee beans to be exact

It was an easy one for me to determine as that was the first amazing smell I was blasted with when my sense of smell went back to normal after quitting a 45 year cigarette habit.

I'm still doing 30 shots and hoping for 1 good pic, it's probably the best I will ever be at photography. I did try the app you recommended back when you first mentioned it but my lack of skills made it a wash

    Peace

Awesome review. Nailed the finer points. Can I ask was this a reg or fem any version info?

    :respect: outstanding
    Love SD shareone

    Grow Well

Feel free to ask anything you would like to know.

    These were 2013 regs

The cured bud laying on her side is a black pheno that I knocked up with the strongest and fastest male.

So that pic is a seeded SD bud.

    I LUV SD punk

    Cool I have grown a few……lol

I haven't had a fem as good as my top 5 regs and they seem to be a little finicky. That maybe version related and I have been told there should be no difference in a fem seed but…..IMO

    Cheers bud highfive great review.

    Thank You ! shareone

    Its Natural vs Unnatural IMHO

Ever notice how the big designer breeders don't seem to keep developing great strains and how they are always introducing tons of new strains in fems only ?

Their bad habit of inbreeding of fem to fem over and over instead of further development has catastrophic drawbacks eventually.

Well, Hash – Your review of Black Stone was the first thing I read here.
I hope to afford the fem bundle, to get my hands on those seeds. For now, I'll grow a Dragon girl.

There is Black stone beans in the SD fem mix – put couple of F5 and F6 ;)
