Strain Review: Black Stone

Indoor
Medium: Black Gold, the variety that is mainly peanut hull, rice rull, earthworm castings, and perlite. Extremely light in nutrients and composition.
Nutrients: Botanicare KIND, Silica Blast, Not a nutrient but Great White Mycorrhizae is the BEST.
Lights type and schedule (indoor): This poor girl was the tester for me so she only received a set schedule of 18/6 in the last weeks.
Days from Seed: Day 69
Harvest Points: I kept pushing her every day, seeing how much she could take. Although each branch received light it seemed that there were dominant branches on the plant, sometimes they did not correspond, one big branch and small branch on the same node. Some branches yielded noticeable weight, some were too light. Buds were densely packed, but fluffy. Fully caused by the lack of light intensity and earlier harvest. Harvest was easy, although her tough stalk was extremely sturdy. Hedge clippers would have been more appropriate than scissors.
Dry Yield (grams): 59 grams – the most I have gotten from any.
Growth Comments: So much to say. Will put details in a grow log. Few points though. She was not fed anything until 1 month old, she did not need anything up to that point. However, adding silica to your water early will pay off well when she kicks into full gear. Also take full advantage of the finest blend of microbeneficials a frugal grower could want, Great White from Plant Success, as early as possible. Using the mineral based KIND system also kept me from burning Black Stone once. A light formula of 1ml base and 5-7 ml.bloom keeps em smiling.
Comments on smell (during growth, harvest, etc.): The smell was unlike anything I have smelled on an autoflower and only a couple of times with photoperiod plants. It was a deep semi-rotting smell, such a strong afghani skunk that you couldn’t help but hover over her. The most intense scent I’ve experienced from anything with ruderalis thus far. The smell did seem to dissipate once she was dry, hopefully a cure will bring it out of the flower once more. There is also an underlying floral scent, not really sweet. Cannot quite make it out, but something perfume almost lavender.
The Smell: Earthy, Floral, Rotten, Hash, Skunk, Lavender, Incense
The Smoke: Smooth. Doesn’t last too long in the vape. I mix it with kief to make it last a bit longer. Pleasant though. Just need a bit more to reach the zen stage.

Started with car accidents severe whiplash from collision, changed my life forever. Still hurts. Work accidents, sprained back. 3 hernias and surgeries in the last 4 years from hard labor. I am so tired of pain my friends. Nerve pain, constant back pain with associated spasms. Anxiety from not being able to make ends meet. Depression from feeling so bad for so many days without too many sunny ones. 8 long years of bad luck or perhaps karma, who knows. How does Black Stone help? It provides me with a better overall sense of well being. It takes the edge off of the constant aching and seems to just warm you up a little. The euphoria sets in after a number of draws, it is intense, but short-lived. The body stone is what lingers, it relaxes your muscles for rest. It makes you ravenous with hunger on the days you do not feel like eating. It uplifts your mood and sets you down gently to sleep after a long day.

Other: It just didn’t last long enough with one bowl of the vape. A bit more is required for the desired narcotic effect.
Final Comments: Took an immeasurable amount of stress from my poor environment and never gave up. I wish I could have done more for her. Black Stone would have taken over my entire space if I had enough light and a larger container. Very vigorous once established, noticeable growth and progress every day. For autos sake refrain from any completely dry days, she drinks heavy. If you had a 1k or larger veg room these monster autos would produce just as much as a photoperiod under 12/12.
