GROW TOGETHER QUESTIONAIRE
Can you explain beiefly how you germinate seeds?

I tend to leave them in water for 12 hours then in to a cutting plug thingy untill it germs then planted strait in to there final pots.

Do you have any tricks or sytems to germinating?

Only what i mentioned above but it seems to work have had 100% sucsess rate since starting it.

How do you grow? Hydro, Soil, DIY Soil mix, Organic, Other ( Explain)?

I grow in bio bizz light mix and added perlight or bnq compost depending on what i have with mainly bio bizz nutes except for cal/mag and ph down so think its sort of organic but have no idea really.

Is the size of the plant container relevant to Autoflowers?

Currently what i think are 5 ltr pots aslo used 1ltr for the comp but have some 30cmx30cm pots to try when i move the grow want to try and get bigger plants lol.

When do you start feeding?

Normally week 2 but dont know if this is right or not seemed to go ok this time if that is what i did will have to check my records.

What do you consider is ‘Day 1’ (most feeding scheduals refer to Day 1 or 2 or Week 1 or 2) for your seedling. At what stage is the seedling at? Describe.
Can you explain your feeding of plants. How you go about it. What do you feed?

I think day one is when they first get there heads out the soil. umm not really sure but guess its a seedling until they form the first proper leaves. my feeding of plants has been pretty rubbish untill i joined this site but with thanks to you all i think i feed root juice for the first 2 weeks then grow or fish mix until they started flowering then bloom and alg-a-mag and cal/mag this is mainly bio bizz nutes and phed to 6.4-6.8

How do you water your plants. And how do you assess when they need watering?

I tend to water in situ. and assess by the weight of the pot if its light then i need to water soon.

What kind of water do you use? Tap, rain, filtered, Other source?
How would you treat auto’s differently in the first 20 days of their life, to photo-periods?

I use water from a stream but also trying some from a race way holding 1000, small trout to see if i need nutes or not. Have only grown autos so don’t know. have some photos i got as freebies which i will try at some point.

Vegetative to Flowering Stage.
Please describe any important changes or routines you may have that benefit the plant at this stage. E.g Do you Flush? Do you re-plant? Do you trim or train? How does your feeding change – if at all?

Umm nothing then stopping grow nutes and start bloom, i sort of train some times gently bending the side stems if i have room and tuck fan leaves under bud sites to give them the most light.

What signifies the beginning of flowering in your grows?

ether the pistols showing or after they stop growing and the bud sites start growing not really sure.

At what point do you give PK boosters, if at all – please explain?

Not sure what they are sorry.

Can you tell us what other supplements you may give your plants? e.g CO2, sweetners, bacteria, etc

No other supplements except whats in the nutes/cal/mag

Do you make changes to the light distances during the switch from veg to flowering?

I havent the past couple of grows as i am only in a small space nut have lifted smaller plants to the light in the past with bricks.

What temperatures do you try to keep to in your grow environment? Light and dark periods?

20c out side tent and 25 in side but before i was using leds i had no idea had even burnt plants before so way to hot,

Do you manage the humidity in your grow space? Does this change for flowering?

Nope will look in to it at some stage never had a problem with mold tho.

Do you flush at all in this stage of plant development?

So far have only really flushed when i have been told to put will hopefully learn when the plants need it soon.

Flowering
How do you feed your plants during flowering. Does it change through the whole period of flowering?

Only by using bloom nutes

What about watering through the flowering cycle – does this differ to earlier watering routines?

Only as they need more so find my self watering more.

When do you harvest. What are the signals to tell you to chop the plant?

I tend to take a little early to be honest but want to start wating for the leaves to tell me when to chop.

Do you have a process of ridding excess nutrients before harvest. Flushing? Or, do you not bother?

I have flushed not properly tho didn’t realise how much you really needed to flush and also not bothered haven’t really seen a difference my self.

Drying and Curing
How do you dry and cure your plants? Do you have any tricks or systems for curing, to share, that may benefit other growers?

I used to trim the hang i now use paper bags after reading this site. dont really cure yet as i dont tend to grow enough/smoke too much lol.

How do you store your harvest?……

Glass mason jars with 64% boveda pads

This is what I have so far. I’m sure I have repeated myself in the questions and I am sure I can keep thinking of questions to add.
Tell us what you think?
